RoadVac CS-6
For rigs on a tight power budget. The only RoadVac with active power management. It watches the draw and keeps the vacuum from overloading a 20-amp circuit, which is what makes it the right unit for a coach that is already close to its limit.
- Power management keeps it from tripping a 20-amp circuit
- Hardwired — no cord to find an outlet for
- Takes the Y10 single-opening bag
Best for: RVs with limited power. Takes the Y10-5 dust bag.

CS-6 shown; it shares the CS-8 housing.

Replacement unit, or the complete system.
Every RoadVac is sold both ways — the bare power unit for a swap, or the full system with everything the install needs.
Built to order
The CS-6 is a current, supported model that we build to order rather than stock online. Tell us the coach and whether you need the complete system or a replacement unit only, and we will come back with a price and a lead time.

What makes this one different
| Installation | Built-in |
|---|---|
| Power management | Yes — prevents overloading a 20A circuit |
| Power connection | Hardwired, no cord |
| Inlet valve | Not included — the inlet is built into the unit |
| Front utility inlet | No |
| VacPort compatible | No |
| Circuit board | No |
| Dust bag | Y10, single opening |
| Controls | Front switch, VAC / SOURCE |
A VacPort will not work with a CS-6. On this model the inlet is built into the face of the unit — there is no pipe run for a second cleaning point to connect to. That is not an option we left off; the plumbing does not exist. Inlet valves, D-900 couplings, P-series fittings and installation hose do not apply to a CS-6 either. If you want a remote cleaning point, the model you want is the CS-RM.

Consumables
The Y10 bag is the one that seals.
The CS-6 takes the Y10-5 — five sealed HEPA-type bags and one motor filter. It has a single opening, and the other RoadVac bag does not fit even though it looks almost the same on a shelf.
Change the motor filter after every fifth bag, which is why one ships in every pack. Non-genuine bags and filters void the vacuum warranty.

No tools with your coach? That is normal. Plenty of RV builders fit the vacuum at the factory but leave the hose and tool kit out, because the kit is sold separately. Nothing is wrong with your system — you just need the kit. Any 32 mm kit fits.
CS-6 questions
Common questions
Which dust bag fits the CS-6?
The Y10-5. It is the single-opening Y10 bag, sold in a pack of five with a motor filter. The other RoadVac bag will not seal in this unit, so check the opening count before you order.
Can I put a VacPort on a CS-6?
No. The CS-6 is self-contained: the inlet is part of the unit and there is no pipe run to connect a VacPort to.
What tool kit fits the CS-6?
Any 32 mm kit, which is all of ours. There is no per-model tool kit — the TK108-B, TK108-TB and TK108-TBM all fit, and so do the individual wands, hoses and floor tools. The remote-control kit, the TK-108-TB-RC, is the exception: it needs a matching receiver and fits only the CS-RM-RC.
How much area will a CS-6 cover?
Up to 900 sq. ft., which covers any coach, and also a tiny home, a kitchen or a bath. Every RoadVac shares the figure — 414 air watts, 92 in. of sealed water lift and 107 CFM at maximum airflow.
The other five models
- RoadVac CS-8 — the simplest install in the range
- RoadVac CS-9 — two inlets, no electronics
- RoadVac CS-10 — automatic, and the one coach builders specify
- RoadVac CS-RM — hide the power unit, keep the reach
- RoadVac CS-RM-RC — on and off from the handle
- InterVac RM — not a RoadVac, but coach builders fit it too. Takes the Y08 bag.
