VacPort®
It replaces the dust pan, not the hose.
A VacPort is a small door set low in the wall or the toe kick. Open the door and the vacuum starts. Sweep the dirt straight in and it travels down the pipe to the power unit's dust bag. Nothing plugs into it — the hose goes to an inlet valve, which is a different part. In a coach, where the mess is always at the door and always sand, the VacPort is the one people use most.

A-950-X
The whole install in one box.
Buying the port and then discovering you need a sweep tee, an elbow, a coupling and six feet of low-voltage wire is how a Saturday job becomes a Sunday job. The A-950-X is the port plus everything around it.
- A-900-X LED VacPort and trim plate
- P-21 elbow, P-30 coupling, P-41 sweep tee
- 3 ft of X640 installation hose
- 6 ft of 22 gauge wire and two wire nuts

Inlet valves
The standard wall inlet
Where a VacPort is a sweep inlet at floor level, an inlet valve is the conventional port you plug the hose into. Both tie into the same pipe run.

Questions
VacPorts and fitment
What is a VacPort?
A sweep-in door set low in the wall or the toe kick, in place of a dust pan. Open the door, the vacuum starts, you sweep the dirt in and it goes down the pipe to the dust bag. You never bend down with a dust pan and you never plug anything in. It is also the one InterVac product that commonly goes on another brand's system.
Does the hose plug into a VacPort?
No. That is the most common misunderstanding about it. The hose plugs into an inlet valve. A VacPort has no hose connection — it is a sweep-in door. Most piped installs fit both, on the same pipe run.
Which RoadVac models take a VacPort?
The CS-9, CS-10, CS-RM and CS-RM-RC. The CS-6 and CS-8 do not — on those the inlet is built into the unit and there is no pipe run to tie a VacPort into.
Will a VacPort work on a different brand of central vacuum?
In most cases yes, which is why we say 'fits most brands' rather than 'fits all'. It needs a 24V AC or DC low-voltage supply. Some central vacuums use a triac and others a transformer, and on 24V DC the wires may need reversing. Manual M-20 covers the wiring.
What is the difference between the LED and non-LED versions?
Only the light. The A-900-X, A-901-X, A-902-X and A-950-X have an LED that shows the port is live; the A-910-X and A-911-X do not. Suction and fitment are identical.
What comes in the A-950-X kit?
An A-900-X LED VacPort, trim plate, P-21 elbow, P-30 coupling, P-41 sweep tee, 3 ft of X640 hose, 6 ft of 22 gauge wire, two wire nuts and the quick-reference manual — the whole install in one box for $65.96.
Do VacPorts need their own bags or filters?
No. A VacPort is an inlet, not a vacuum. The bag and filter belong to the power unit.
